Natasha Ross discovered her love for performance early in life. As an only child, her vivid imagination became an escape, and she spent hours singing, acting, and dancing in her own world. Though shy as a child, her passion for performing grew stronger in high school, where she joined the Hawkes Bay Youth Drama School and met talented actors like Bruno Lawrence, who helped shape her career aspirations.
In recent years, Natasha has become best known for her stage work, the latest being the Auckland Fringe production of The Hand that Locks the Holding Pen by emerging NZ playwright Faith Ward. Her performances are praised for their emotional depth and authenticity, and she is known for bringing complex, grounded characters to life.
The most rewarding part of Natasha's career is receiving feedback from her whanau and friends, and knowing her work has moved audiences. She also enjoys collaborating on film projects and thrives in creative environments with talented teams.
Looking ahead, Natasha is eager to continue expanding into screen work, taking on challenging roles that push her as an actress. She hopes to work internationally where she can explore new and dynamic characters.
Natasha spent 16 years as a Registered Nurse, working in Mental Health and Operating Theatres. This experience has given her valuable insight into human behaviour and crisis situations, which informs her acting, especially when portraying emotionally intense or complex roles. Natasha has worked in leadership positions in Early Childhood Education, Event Management, and Drama Teaching, skills that complement her work as a performer and enrich her ability to portray diverse characters.
