Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Samantha has played roles from Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams working in local community theatres and in collaboration with filmmakers on original screenplays.
In 2025, Samantha played Lucentio in Shakespeare's 'Taming of the Shrew', marking her second appearance in Shoreside Theatre's annual 'Shakespeare in the Park’. Her first being Cleopatra in 'Antony and Cleopatra' in 2023. She has also played Stella Kowalski in a filmed adaptation of a scene from ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ which showcases her accent skills on screen. Samantha has demonstrated a strong competency for accent work ranging from German in ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ to various regional UK accents in Lucy Kirkwood’s ‘The Welkin’.
.Samantha regularly takes classes at the Elena Stejko Actors' Studio, using the Michael Chekhov technique to further develop her craft. As a proud EquityNZ member she has attended Equity Foundation workshops, working with a host of professionals, including top NZ casting directors and teachers like Brita McVeigh.
In 2024 she toured ‘The Duffy Show’ to primary schools throughout New Zealand helping students engage in reading. She has been consistently employed as a swing understudy in children’s theatre shows at Tim Bray Theatre Company. Samantha has also played significant roles in indie films such as the horror ‘Old Moon’ alongside established New Zealand actors such as Mark Hadlow.
Samantha grew up in South India in an international boarding school where she first fell in love with acting and developed a strong cultural worldview. At university Samantha excelled academically and was recognised twice on the Faculty of Arts Dean’s list before graduating with degrees in Earth Science and Classical Studies in 2021. She has a full motorbike license and five years of experience riding to lectures and rehearsals. She often spends her free time pursuing multiple creative projects at once, ranging from embroidery and hand sewing to writing her own screenplays and learning to play the guitar.
Samantha is looking forward to working across the ditch in the next Australian hit series and intends to one day perform on the stage at the National Theatre in the UK.
