Duncan joins RBA as a Voice and Commercial Artist. Having relocated to Auckland, NZ as a teenager from Oregon, USA his roles have taken him from childhood Tennessee Williams prologues to playing the ‘Duke of Athens’ in A Midsummer Night’s Dream dir. Timothy Walker, 2013 on Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre stage in London. This last experience polished his skills to extract meaning and truth from every scripted word, bringing to life his performance.

Duncan has successfully expressed his dedication and passion to connect with an audience through his writing, directing, producing and acting in stage plays, musicals, short films and commercial work. While studying bio-mechanical engineering at Auckland University, Duncan was actively involved in the annual Engineering Revue 2014 - 2019. As Presenter of the Engineering Revue, 2018 he experienced the thrill of uproarious applause and laughter from an 800 strong audience. Now working as a bio-mechanical engineer and medical researcher, Duncan successfully balances this alongside pursuing his passion for Voice work.

“I have been doing voices and impressions for as long as I can remember” says Duncan, who often drove his parents to despair with his constant imitations of funny character voices from television shows and animated movies. This natural talent and interest in voice work continues to this day.

“I love when a performance from a voice actor in a video game just smashes through the screen and grabs you, whether it’s MOCAP or pure Voice-over. I’ve long thought that interactive media has the potential to connect with people closer than any other and I want to be part of that connection”.
