As one of RBA’s emerging artists, John Davern has been working both on the stage, on the screen and behind the scenes.
Having starred in multiple roles throughout many independent theatre productions, John’s highlights include; Mike Costa in A Chorus Line, Ram Sweeney in Heathers, Ventidius in Antony & Cleopatra, as well as the lead role of Sun in Tim Bray’s production of Badjelly the Witch. He also has Choreography credits for the theatre production of Love Lies In The Bed It’s Made In.
While John was achieving his Bachelors of Performing and Screen Arts at Unitech University, he took part in a few student short films, which include; Terry in Nathan Chan’s My Friend, My Body, Zak Home Sweet Home, and Rob in Stasis.
John is also a classically trained dancer, in the genres of Musical Theatre, Ballet, Jazz, and is working towards achieving his NZAMD teachers certificate in Tap. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, he is looking forward to breaking into the professional acting world.
