Dawn Adams is a New Zealand actor whose work spans television, film, and theatre. She is best known to audiences for her role as Sonya Turner in the acclaimed crime drama Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud.
A graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Dawn has performed a wide range of stage roles both abroad and in New Zealand, including Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing. Returning home, she quickly established herself in the local theatre scene with productions such as The Christmas Monologues and Mad at The Basement Theatre.
On screen, Dawn has appeared in a number of short films, taking on lead roles in Into the Void and The Soldier as well as featured roles across a variety of independent projects. In addition to her television breakthrough in Underbelly NZ, she continues to develop her career with new screen work including the feature Syncope.
