Renee Clayton (Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Raukawa) is a performer based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand), originally from Palmerston North. A natural performer with an early love for movement, she trained intensely in dance and drama through school, competing in numerous dance competitions before expanding into modelling and radio. After studying communications, Renee began her career as a journalist and radio presenter in the Manawatū region before relocating to Auckland in 2013.
With a background that spans boxing, Muay Thai, dance, and aerial performance with The Dust Palace, Renee has more recently undertaken stunt training with the New Zealand Stunt School, adding specialist skills in fire burns, car hits, wirework, sword fighting and combat. These experiences have shaped her development as an emerging actor with action skills, able to bring physical authenticity and confidence to screen work.
